Reviews and Ratings
This resort has an incredible location, nestled in stunning natural beauty, but the accommodations I encountered were far from ideal. Due to cleanliness issues and a lack of basic amenities, my stay was quite disappointing. While the staff tried their best, the overall condition of the resort needs improvement to be recommended.
We had a pleasant stay at this campsite, which is ideally located near stunning gorges and less trafficked roads. The scenery was beautiful, and the restaurant served decent food at reasonable prices. However, some amenities were lacking, particularly the older shower blocks which could use a refresh. While we appreciated the new amenities block, the campsite could do with more spacious spots for larger setups. Overall, it’s a solid choice for an outback experience.
My stay at Glen Helen Gorge Homestead Lodge was a mixed bag. On one hand, the natural beauty surrounding the lodge is simply breathtaking, making for a memorable experience, especially at sunset. However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of our room, which really overshadowed some of the positives. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and it’s a great spot for families seeking an authentic outback experience, but the noise from the generator was bothersome.
The resort boasts stunning views with a beautiful waterhole and a very nice restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by persistent unpleasant odors coming from the septic system. While the location is fantastic for nature lovers, the management needs to improve maintenance to match the appealing surroundings.
I had a mixed experience during my stay at Glen Helen Gorge Homestead Lodge and Campground. The stunning views and outdoor dining atmosphere were truly breathtaking, especially during sunset. However, the campground facilities left much to be desired, with limited cleanliness and a lack of shade. Overall, while the natural beauty is impressive, the campground needs significant improvements to be more comfortable.
